I refer to the article entitled Mepa Enforcement Action Over Illegal Structures At Wood, with particular reference to the mention of lack of action by the Commissioner for Environment and Planning on the author’s complaint.

Please note that the complaint received was anonymous and no contact details were given.

In terms of Section 13(2) of the Ombudsman’s Act (Chapter 385), as a rule complaints received in an anonymous form are not accepted for investigation. Since the complainant chose to remain anonymous, it was not even possible to inform him that the Commissioner was not in a position to investigate this complaint.
