The International Institute of Studies (IIS) recently held a graduation ceremony for 15 B.Sc. (Hons) graduates from the University of Hertfordshire.
The graduates were Daniel Schembri, Ivan Bonanno, Neil Brimmer, Michael Bugeja, Charlotte Gatt, Clayton Cassar, Darren Ciantar, Noelle Darmanin, John Rapa, Luke Rocco, Graziella Camilleri, Duncan Henwood, Jesmond Mifsud, Amel El-Bakoush and Ivan Galea.
IIS director Godwin Micallef gave the introductory speech at the ceremony. He welcomed Mariette Berkhout, e-learning manager for computer science and Nathan Baddoo, senior admissions tutor for computer science from the University of Hertfordshire, who came specifically to Malta for the graduation.
Dr Micallef congratulated the graduates, of whom 70 per cent obtained First Class Honours; and the remaining 30 per cent graduated with Second Class Honours.
Ms Berkhout addressed the graduates and congratulated them on their success.
The degrees were presented to the graduates by Ms Berkhout, Mr Baddoo and IIS managing director Nicholas Callus.
The ceremony was followed by a reception.
