Lifecycle Challenge cyclists marked the traditional Cliff Micallef Hill Climb with a 14-kilometre long climb in ice-cold wind in Iceland.

The cyclists yesterday encountered the worst conditions so far. Together with a strong headwind, they also had to deal with ice, pouring rain, rough terrain and heavy fog, with a visibility of no more than 10 metres at times.

Things eventually brightened up, literally, and the final 40 kilometres of the day’s 169-kilometre leg took place under the sun.
