(Adds later game)

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a 14-minute hat-trick as Milan moved three points clear at the top of the Serie A table.

Ibrahimovic grabbed the headlines on his return from a three-game suspension as Milan thrashed Palermo 4-0 before second-placed Juve dropped points after being held to a 1-1 draw by Chievo.

The focus fell squarely on the title race today with Milan and Juve involved in the only two games of the day.

Ibrahimovic made sure Milan put the pressure on their rivals after his quickfire hat-trick in the early game.

The Sweden international opened the scoring on 21 minutes and struck twice more in the 31st and 35th minutes. Thiago Silva added a fourth goal on 58 minutes.

Juve looked like responding with a home win when Paolo De Ceglie opened the scoring on 18 minutes, but a Boukary Drame equaliser 14 minutes from the end saw them lose ground.
