Milan's attempts to take Zlatan Ibrahimovic back to Serie A will continue today as they hold further talks with Barcelona.

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani and other Rossoneri representatives are already in Catalonia following the 1-1 draw last night between the sides in the Joan Gamper Trophy - Barca won 3-1 on penalties - and Galliani confirmed after the game he would be meeting new Barca president Sandro Rosell again today.

"Negotiations will continue on Thursday," Galliani told AC Milan's official website. "At noon I have an appointment with the president of Barcelona (Sandro Rosell). Let's see.

"The negotiations are very complex, very difficult, very expensive, but the relationship with Sandro Rosell is really good and he is very nice.

"The will of Barcelona is to sell the player to Milan. There is a lot of money to overcome and this is the difficulty."

Ibrahimovic, who has endured a mixed spell in the Primera Division after joining Barcelona from Inter Milan last summer, last night revealed the breakdown of his relationship with Barca coach Pep Guardiola by admitting the pair had not spoken for months.

The Swede told Sky Italia: "I haven't spoken to Guardiola for six months.

"I do not know the reason for this, but there are certainly problems.

"As for Milan, for now, I do not know anything about a possible move, so I will remain a Barcelona player. But I would like to play alongside a player such as Ronaldinho."

When asked about Ibrahimovic's comments, Guardiola said in last night's post-match press conference: "We have no problem of communication. For the good of the club it's best not to say anything. There's always a reason, but I'm not going to explain it now. I'm very communicative.

"When it's the right time I'll give my opinion."

Guardiola added about the Swede's future: "If after the 31st (transfer deadline day) he's still a Barcelona player I will treat him as such."
