The International Advertising Association IAA (Malta Chapter) is hosting a seminar by branding and colour expert Erich Buxbaum at The Villa, Balluta Bay, St Julians today.

Mr Buxbaum has held senior positions in Unilever Europe for 30 years, including head of the European marketing and sales. He has worked on more than 20 years of colour studies and applied research presented in seminars worldwide. He is currently the vice president of the IAA.

Colour is one of the most powerful influences on consumer attitudes, buying behaviour and perceptions of corporate image. This workshop will discuss topics such as the basics of colour and light; the psychology and impact of colour; the powerful impact of colours on brand and corporate image; how to research colour trends; the influence of different associations of colours; how big brands use colours consistently and how to integrate colour into marketing and communication programmes.

The workshop will discuss international brands like Pepsi Cola, Starbucks, Red Bull, Dove, Kodak, Coca- Cola, Nike and many more.

The Malta chapter said the event is a rare opportunity which should benefit marketing and advertising practitioners.

From the highest level agency executive to the student fresh out of university considering a career in advertising, the IAA considers it a priority to promote a growing community of diverse, talented and dedicated individuals throughout the industry.

Free parking will be available at Le Meridien Hotel.
