The Lino Spiteri Foundation has announced a campaign entitled ‘I am Able’, which will evolve into a fully fledged educational campaign in the coming weeks.

The main aim of the campaign is to show that in every disability there is ability. It asks that people look at disability differently: not as a weakness but an opportunity.

“The inspiration for this campaign came from re-search with people with disabilities. What is clear is that they do not want pity but seek to be looked at equally, especially when it comes to applying for work,” the foundation said.

The Lino Spiteri Foundation was set up to help persons with disability find work by giving support to companies and matching the skills required for the work. Lino Spiteri, who died in 2014, was a politician and writer.
