A woman from Burmarrad was this morning accused in court of having slightly injured her husband with a pointed instrument, while the husband was accused of having assaulted and slightly injured their son and threatened him with a screwdriver.

The incidents allegedly happened early yesterday morning in Burmarrad.

Maria Dolores Camilleri, 58, was accused of having slightly injured Guzeppi Camilleri, 60, and being in unlawful possession of a pointed instrument.

Mr Camilleri was accused of assaulting and slightly injuring his son and having threatened him with a screwdriver.

He was also accused of having caused more than €113 in damage to a motor vehicle, driving a tractor in a negligent and dangerous manner and harassing his wife such that she feared that violence would be used against her.

The two were granted bail.
