The Hunters' Federation and St Hubert's Hunters in a joint statement today hit out at a BirdLife 'electoral campaign' and denied hijacking the elections.
"Thousands of hunters and trappers and their families are not third class citizens as the new political party, BirdLife Malta (BLM), is trying to suggest in the launch of their electoral campaign," the hunters said.
"The Federation for Hunting & Conservation – Malta (FKNK) and its associate St. Hubert’s Hunters (KSU) have not yet uttered a single word with regards the current general elections and yet, according to BLM we are hijacking elections again!"
The hunters said that in due course they would make public the outcome that may result from any discussions with the two main political parties.
