Like many other animal lovers, I walk my dog between Żonqor Point, Marsascala, and Xgħajra.

Well before the hunting season opened, gun-toting men roam this area killing whatever they lay their eyes on.

It’s coming to a point that these self-styled Rambos are intimidating people like me with the intention to scare us from walking our dogs on ‘their’ hallowed ground.

When I stopped a police patrol and complained to them, they told me that the hunters are within their rights.

So what shall I do? Apply for a gun licence to get a sense of protection myself?

Apparently this land is governed by the law of the jungle.
