HSBC Bank Malta has won Global Finance magazine's Best Bank in Malta award for the second consecutive year.
The presentation will take place today during the Global Finance 2005 Awards Ceremony during the annual meetings of the IMF and World Bank in Washington.
HSBC Bank USA's chief executive officer, Martin Glynn, will receive the award on behalf of HSBC Bank Malta.
The award is judged by the Global Finance magazine editors together with industry analysts, corporate executives and banking consultants.
Global Finance, which is celebrating its 18th year this year, has 50,000 subscribers and more than 250,000 readers in over 158 countries.
HSBC Malta's chief executive officer Shaun Wallis said: "Winning this award and receiving it during such a prestigious event attended by all the world's leading bankers and economists is something of which everyone associated with the bank can be very proud of.
