HSBC Malta and Kunsill tal-Istudenti Universitarji (KSU) have signed a three-year cooperation agreement confirming the bank as the main sponsor of the students' body. The agreement binds HSBC to provide the council with financial aid for three academic years, offer preferential banking facilities for KSU's operational transactions and opportunities for students wanting to improve their skills in financial services.
"Student education is a responsibility which HSBC takes very seriously," said Ray Briffa, head of retail banking channels. "This cooperation agreement ensures the support the council needs to look after the students' interests consistently."
