Can the Alfred Sant who wrote "Zero tolerance towards corruption must be the rule. You show this if you're serious, not by defending the indefensible, but by taking extra-quick action from the incumbency of the government to immediately investigate claims of abuse and then to prosecute" (Prosecute, November 7) be the same Alfred Sant who also wrote "Let them accuse the ministers that they are corrupt, that they are only interested in getting richer, that they use their positions to gain personally. And because men, generally, prefer to believe what is wrong with the others, some of the mud that is thrown sticks" (It-Torca, September 29, 1985)?
Can Dr Sant please enlighten us as to how the accusations of corruption he referred to in It-Torca article were investigated then, by whom and how many prosecutions were demanded by the then Labour government?
