A Brazilian man died when a hot air balloon flying over Cappadocia, a tourist destination in central Turkey, collided with another balloon this morning.

Another 24 people were injured, the Anatolia news agency said.

Most of the injured arebeing treated for broken bones but one was in critical condition.

Video posted on a social media website appeared to show a hot air balloon plummeting to the ground and deflating.

Cappadocia is most famous for its unique geological features called fairy chimneys. Balloon rides are a popular way to see the cone-like formations, created by the erosion of volcanic ash around them.
