The first Chinese cuisine Hello Kitty-themed restaurant had opened in Hong Kong, with fans queuing to sample a meal.   

The famous Japanese cartoon cat is a theme for restaurants throughout the world.

But owner Man Kwong says his Hello Kitty restaurant is the first to serve Chinese cuisine. 

"So they quickly come in and take the order and when the food is placed in front of them. Once the eyes is shining and they take out their cameras, I'm very happy already.". 

A symbol of Japan's culture of cute, Sanrio's most popular character - Hello Kitty - celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2014.
