Hong Kong remained the world’s freest place to do business for the 17th year in a row, while the United States lost ground in the annual 2011 Index of Economic Freedom report released yesterday. In the report, released by the US-based Heritage Foundation, 183 economies were assessed, out of which China ranked 135th. Malta slipped slightly to be ranked 57th and was considered ‘moderately free’ to do business in.
