Struggling Honda took their preparations for their home Japan grand prix to a new level on Tuesday by trying a heavily revised RA107 during tests in Jerez, Spain. Rubens Barrichello was at the wheel.

Among notable differences in the 'new' car is a 'bridge' over the nosecone as introduced by McLaren and later also adoped by Williams.

Jenson Button will try the car on Wednesday.

All teams except Sypker are taking part in the test.
