Special holy hosts for celiacs, who are allergic to gluten, would soon be available in Malta, the Curia said.

The Celiacs Association has now agreed to import and provide the hosts for those who had a written permit from the Archbishop to receive such hosts.

Information on the development and of how the special hosts should be used was being sent to priests in a circular, the Curia said.

This circular made it clear that only the hosts being provided by the association could be used by celiacs in Malta.
