Gold and money were stolen in a hold-up at a jewellery shop in St Julian's this afternoon. No one was injured

The police said the shop was in St George's Road.

A hooded person held a gun which he pointed at the 29-year-old salesman and asked for money. This was at about 5.10 p.m. The thief left the shop on foot.

An inquiry is being held by Magistrate Clare Stafrace Zammit.
