A hooded man armed with a knife stole €600 in cash from a lotto booth in Mosta at about 10.30am yesterday, the second hold-up in as many days.

The thief targeted a lotto booth in Eucharistic Street, Mosta and demanded money from the 67-year-old owner. He then fled with the cash, the police said.

Some €3,000 were stolen in a similar hold-up on a lotto booth in Fgura on Wednesday afternoon. The police appealed for any information.
