Three key positions were recently filled at Hilton Malta. Annika Formosa is HR manager, Angelo Grech has joined as executive housekeeper and Blaga Valkova is director of business development.

Hilton Malta general manager Clement Hassid welcomed the new executives: "I am confident we are now in a better position to deliver not just at a service level but in areas the client may take as given at the Hilton."

Prior to joining the Hilton team, Ms Formosa worked in the HR field for a number of years, mainly in the IT sector. Her last post was HR director with Atlas Technology Group, where she was responsible for setting up and managing human resources.

Before that, Ms Formosa, who holds a BA (Hons) degree in Psychology from the University of Malta and a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Maastricht, was HR manager at the Malta Information Technology and Training Services (MITTS) Ltd.

Mr Grech brings with him years of hospitality experience, having worked in international hotels, including The Chambers, Radisson Lexington Hotel, The Stanhope and Loews New York Hotel.

For the past two years he was executive housekeeper at the Corinthia Beach Resort.

Ms Valkova gained great respect and recognition for her professionalism, having held several positions with Radisson SAS and Starwood Hotels and Resorts.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management and a Masters in Finance. By working in various hospitality sectors, Ms Valkova has gained extensive experience in revenue management, sales and front office. She was a valuable leader to her teams and has greatly contributed to the commercial success of the hotels she has worked for.
