The prices of gas and propane are being revised upward as from tomorrow.

A 10 kilo cylinder which cost nine euros (gas) and 10 eurs (propane), will now be 11.80 euros and 11.20 eurs, respectively.

A 12 kilo gas cylinder - currently 10.50 euros, will now be 13.90 euros.

A 15 kilo cylinder - currently 13 euros for gas and 14.50 for propane, will be 17 and 16.20 euros, respectively.

A 25 kilo gas cylinder will now cost 27.30 euros, up from 20.50 euros while a propane cylinder of the same size will cost 26 instead of 23 euros.

The Malta Resources Authority said the prices were being revised because of an increase in the international prices of propane and butane.

It said that Liquigas had asked for higher increases but the formula used by Liquigas to come up with the new rates was not accepted by the MRA.
