Five Maltese students who have been reading a Masters in Human Resources with the Centre for Labour Market Studies, University of Leicester, were recently awarded their certificates. Isabelle Aquilina, Pauline Borg and Michelle Seguna graduated with a Masters in Training and HR Management and Raymond Dimech and Patrick Steve Scerri with a Masters in Training and Performance Management.

The day paid off for all the hard work, anxiety, self-doubt and pressures they ecountered over the past couple of years. Studying and working at the same time, and coping with family and other commitments is not easy. However, dedication and perseverance, coupled with the support the students received from the Foundation for Human Resources Development, local agent for the CLMS, their employers, fellow students and family made this day possible.

The foundation also congratulated other students who also completed their studies with he CLMS: Angele Bartolo, Sue Debono, Christabel Falzon, Simone Grimaldi, Harish Malani and Simeona Zerafa, who earned a Diploma in HR Management; Daniela Gauci, who was awarded a Diploma in Training and Developmen; and Alexandra Agius, Horatia Borg and Paul Muscat, who received a Certificate in Training Practice and HR Management.

The FHRD is organising its annual presentation ceremony on May 16, for which CLMS representatives will attend together with other students who are waiting for their final results.

Distance learning courses at Certificate, Diploma, Masters and Doctorate levels will start in April.

Closing date for applications is April 4 at noon.

A meeting for prospective students will be held on March 5 at 6 p.m. at the foundation's premises in San Ġwann.
