Inter midfielder Wesley Sneijder believes compatriot Guus Hiddink would be an ideal replacement for Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho is expected to finalise his move to Real Madrid in the coming days and Hiddink is among the names that have circulated in the Italian press as a candidate for the Nerazzurri hotseat.

"They (Mourinho and Hiddink) both have a great capacity to motivate the group, but the most important thing is that they both focus on the tactical aspect, giving the players great courage," Sneijder said.

"It's thanks to that attitude that you are able to gain trust in yourself.

"Hiddink has great experience, having coached at Real Madrid and Chelsea, and let's not forget that he is the man that led PSV Eindhoven to win everything in 1988. He would do great at Inter."

The 63-year-old Dutchman, who is the current manager of Turkey, has never coached in Italy.
