Hibs came from two goals down to beat Valletta 3-2 in an exciting match at Ta' Qali this evening. In so doing they assumed sole leadership of the league table.

Denni Rocha dos Santos had appeared to put Valletta on their way with a 22nd minute goal, and that view was strengthened when Hamsa Barry put City two goals ahead on the half hour.

But Zoran Levnajic started the recovery for Hibs just before the break and Valletta had Rocha dos Santos sent off.

Hibs dominated the second half, and Edison Luis dos Santos restored parity them Hibs four minutes into the second half.

Jean Paul Farrugia scored the all important goal for Hibs in the 75th minute.

MOSTA BEAT VITTORIOSA

In the early match, Mosta beat Vittoriosa 2-0 with goals from Cristian Martins Fernandes and Bojan Kaljevic from the penalty spot.
