I would like to take this oportunity to thank Fr George Bezzina and all the RTK family for the marvellous donation of €7,000 given in favour to our work in the Amazon jungle of Peru. As some readers may know, our parish has several projects aimed at helping the poorest of the poor.

Among these is a small clinic which offers shelter and medical assistance to AIDS patients. We have called the clinic Algo Bello Para Dios (something beautiful for God) and it has now been over five years since we opened the doors.

Over 400 patients have received treatment in Algo Bello Para Dios and one can imagine the costs of keeping the clinic running, taking into consideration that the service is totally free since all the patients are of a very poor social status.

The donation truly came as a blessing. Such donations make it possible for us missionaries to continue serving the poor of our parishes. But not only that, the simple fact of receiving a donation assures one that he is not alone. That being a missionary is being a member of a Church which has sent you to serve, away from your mother shores, another Church in need, but still considers you her own.
