The only non-League side left in the FA Cup fourth round this weekend is Havant and Waterlooville, better known as the Hawks.

Havant and Waterlooville have made their debut in the competition proper this season. They come from the Conference South League and on their way to booking a place in the fourth round against Liverpool they eliminated two League clubs - Notts County (League Two) and Swansea (League One).

Havant, were only formed a decade ago after a merger with Waterlooville.

Manager Shaun Gale and club secretary Trevor Brock reckon that Havant could earn as much as £800,000 from the selling of their 6,000 tickets and add-ons.

Gale described the fourth round tie against boyhood idols Liverpool as the stuff of dreams. Their leading cup scorer (in round proper), Rocky Baptiste, is a Liverpool fan and remarked that playing at Anfield would fulfil a life-long ambition.

Havant, a massive 127 places below Liverpool in the English football pyramid, were rewarded for their incredible 4-1 thumping of Swansea at their compact Westleigh Park stadium.

The FA have offered Havant the use of the England coach to travel to Anfield after their heroic win. The players have now been promised an end-of-season holiday to Las Vegas.

Liverpool, meanwhile, are fighting on two camps. On the pitch of play they dearly want to improve their Premiership position but in their last outing the Reds failed to take all points from the home match against Aston Villa.

The club and the majority of the fans are also against US owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett for not keeping their promises. Dubai International Capital (DIC) are offering to buy Liverpool FC and the move seems to have the backing of the fans and all. However, they face an uphill struggle.

All-Premier ties

Three ties that comprise all-Premier clashes feature holders Chelsea and finalists Manchester United. The ties read:

Wigan Athletic-Chelsea (Premier this season: JJB Stadium: 0-2); Manchester United-Tottenham Hotspur (Old Trafford: 1-0); and Arsenal-Newcastle United (St James' Park: 1-1).

Wigan had met Premiership opposition in the previous round, defeating Sunderland 3-0 at the Stadium of Light, while Chelsea saw off QPR 1-0 at Stamford Bridge.

In the League Cup semi-final, second leg at Everton on Wednesday, Chelsea earned a place in the final in their attempt to retain the silverware they won last year.

Chelsea's Joe Cole stated that strike partner Claudio Pizarro would have a big impact on the side's push for honours this season after he scored the winning goal away against Birmingham.

Wigan boss Steve Bruce complained about the poor state of the JJB pitch following their home 1-2 defeat to Everton.

United and Spurs had been involved in 13 FA Cup meetings before, the last occasion 11 years ago.

In these direct clashes, Tottenham hold the upperhand with five wins to the three registered by Manchester United.

Five of the ties ended as draws and required replays to determine a winner.

Kevin Keegan, who started his second tenure at Newcastle United with a 0-0 draw against Bolton at St James' Park, will be keen to claim a positive result at Arsenal, at least to force a replay.

To show that there was no rift between Keegan and Michael Owen, the former England boss gave the striker the captain's armband.

In the League Cup semi-final, the Gunners bowed out to Tottenham, who sent them to the cleaners with a 5-1 triumph (6-2 aggregate).

More cup romance?

Can Maltese lad Michael Mifsud repeat one of his heroic acts now that the FA Cup is on again?

The Sky Blues fans will never forget his remarkable performances against Manchester United (League Cup, away) and Blackburn (FA Cup, away). Today, Coventry will have home advantage against Millwall.

An all-Championship clash is the duel between Watford and Wolves at Vicarage Road.

In the classification, the Hornets are better placed than Wolves, who hope to make up with a good run in the competition.

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy was over the moon when his latest signings David Edwards and Sylvain Ebanks-Blake both scored in their win at Scunthorpe in the league to end an eight-match winless run.

Portsmouth, whose best shot at the FA Cup in the last decade was an exit in the quarter-finals, are hoping that they can progress further this season.

At Fratton Park, they will clash with Plymouth of the Championship.

Harry Redknapp told the fans that Sol Campbell's future is at Portsmouth after the England defender was linked with Newcastle.

To strengthen their upfront department, the Pilgrims paid a club-record fee of £500,000 for Cardiff forward Steve MacLean.

Sheffield United, who have reached the semi-final stage twice in the last ten seasons, take on high-flyers Manchester City at Bramall Lane.

The Citizens have just managed to save their unbeaten home record against West Ham. Their dreams of a berth in the Champions League look to be fading. Swedish manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, however, remarked that it would be no disaster if they fail to finish among the top four. Last season, City struggled against relegation.

The tie between Southampton and Bury will surely bring back fond memories to the Shakers after their famous FA Cup final 4-0 win over the Saints at Crystal Palace in 1900.

On that occasion, Bury, with six Scots in their line-up, buried Southampton following goals from McLuckie, twice, and one apiece for Wood and Plank.
