Q: A few months ago, I bought two new aluminium doors and some time later I started to have problems. When the seller came to fix the doors, the problems were not completely resolved and he even damaged my floor tiles.

What are my rights in this case? What compensation am I entitled to?

A: Since the seller did not fix the problem when he repaired the aluminium doors, you can request proper repair or if the seller is unable to do so, you may then ask for a replacement of the doors with new, undamaged ones.

With regards to the damages suffered while the seller was repairing the doors, you may also request compensation for these. Should you not manage to reach an amicable solution with the seller, you may then file a complaint with the Office for Consumer Affairs.
