What are your prospects for the coming festive season, given the state of the economy?
We envisage that the results for the coming festive season will be more or less on the same lines as those of last year. Christmas and the New Year are important calendar dates which people look forward to and are eager to celebrate. This is a time for families to reconnect and find the time to recharge important relationships.

What will be the hotel’s highlight of the festivities?
The highlight of the festivities will be the Christmas day lunch and the New Year’s Eve gala dinner. Both events are very special and different from one another. Christmas day lunch is more of a family affair and the event becomes an occasion during which families come together to revisit and revitalise their relationships with loved ones and with friends. The gala dinner is a celebration with guests and patrons, looking back at the achievements of the closing year whilst auguring all the best for the New Year. The Christmas day early breakfast is another special event at The Westin.

How will you manage to enjoy the festivities with your loved ones if the season of goodwill is also the busiest time for hotels.
The festive season is one of the busiest periods in the year for the hotel. Our satisfaction is derived from offering patrons an enjoyable and quality experience that results in renewal. Ultimately we want our patrons to leave the hotel feeling better than when they arrived. This is our job which in turn requires commitment. We normally plan to enjoy moments with our family during periods which are less busy for the hotel’s operation.
