Edgar Gatt complained (‘Aerial hazards’, April 12) about the dangers heavy duty building machinery is causing. He asks, whether the opeartors of cranes loaded with cement and hanging over his rooftop are free to do whatever they please, no matter the danger and inconvenience they cause to others. He then asks whether owners of private property have a legal right to stop this through court action? It could also be a crane blocking half the road to the inconvenience of others.
Of course, they can. At law, nobody can disturb others at all times of the day.
