The BOV Player of the Month award for November went to Ħamrun Spartans forward Marcelo Pereira, who edged other players to win the top spot.

Since joining the Spartans, Pereira has stood out with his consistent performances, his incisive running helping him to score three times last month.

The Brazilian scored one goal against Dingli Swallows in a 4-1 victory early in November and, although on the wrong end of a 3-2 scoreline against Valletta, still managed to grab both goals.

An energetic work-rate and opportunistic scoring skills will certainly be needed if the Spartans are to reach their pre-set targets.

Pereira has these attributes, which will help his team in their quest, a statement by the award's organisers said.

Hubert Camilleri, manager BOV Ħamrun branch, presented a trophy to Pereira. Fra Diego Home was the player's charity of choice to benefit from the donation associated with this award.
