Lewis Hamilton spoiled the Ferrari party by taking the top spot on the final practice session on Saturday.

Hamilton set a best time of 1:14.843 just 0.063 ahead of Ferrari's Felipe Massa with Kimi Raikkonen in third. Fourth and fifth were the much improved Renaults of Heikki Kovalainen and Giancarlo Fisichella respectively. The French team will be racing in front of its home crowd for the last time at Magny Cours as the circuit is set to lose its slot in the F1 calandar.

A returned Kubica in the BMW Sauber followed the duo from Renault, with Nico Rosberg in seventh place in his Williams. Fernando Alonso followed, the Spaniard appearing to be off the pace. Jarno Trulli and David Coulthard rounded off the first top ten.
