A 31-year-old Libyan man this morning pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder of another man yesterday at the Ħal-Far open centre.

Ahmed Omar Amhimmid Aljuweeni, a resident at the Hal Far open centre, was also accused in court of being in possession of a weapon and seriously injuring Fadi Shilig.

The stabbing took place yesterday at around 1.45pm after the two men argued over money the victim allegedly owed the aggressor.

The accused was remanded in custody.
