Birkirkara goalkeeper Justin Haber has been banned for one match ban after failing to produce a valid medical certificate as stipulated by the MFA's competition rules.

Haber was sanctioned after the MFA carried out its weekly inspection of the medical documentation of players, two from every team in all senior categories, who are drawn by lot according to their position on the teamsheet.

This procedure has been in place since early January.

Haber, who is also a member of the national squad, will miss his side's opening Championship Pool match against Sliema Wanderers on Sunday.

Żebbuġ Rangers coach Jesmond Zammit was given a two-match touchline ban after being sent off during his side's 3-0 defeat to Hibs in the U*Bet FA Trophy.
