A man found guilty of the involuntary homicide of his cousin has been jailed for seven years and fined €3,000.

Jurors this afternoon found 34-year-old John Mifsud of Cospicua guilty with six votes against three, of the involuntary homicide of his cousin David Spiteri in September 2005.

He was also found guilty with eight votes against one of trafficking and possessing heroin.

Mr Spiteri died due of a mix of a tranquiliser and heroin.
