Amy Mizzi, 14, who attends Carlo Diacono Girls Junior Lyceum, has won a mascot competition held by the Commission for Children.

She created the character ‘Ġuġinu l-Iljunċinu.’ Which will be used by the Office of the Commisisoner to promote children’s rights among the children themselves.

Amy wrote that: “Ġuġinu is a friendly and cool character. Since he is a lion, he is courageous and is not afraid to fight for his rights and for the rights of his friends, the children. He likes to help everyone who is smaller than him.”

Amy won an Mp3 player sponsored by A to Z Electronics, as well as a book prize sponsored by Agenda Bookshops.
