Floriana produced a strong second half performance, scoring four times to ease past Dingli Swallows 4-2 this afternoon.

The Swallows looked to be heading to remarkable win in their final appearance in the BOV Premier League when they surged into a 2-0 lead.

The Swallows took just 15 minutes to forge ahead. Dylan Zarb, latched on to Roderick Spiteri's inch perfect through ball, played through the middle and slotted home from close-range. Buoyed by the goal, Dingli grabbed a second ten minutes before the interval when Okonkwo struck the foot of the post before it rounded off the goalkeeper and over the Floriana line.

But Floriana looked a revamped side after the interval. They reduced the deficit almost immediately, Anonam heading on a right-wing cross by Doffo at the near post for Brian Said to head home through Farrugia's legs after 52 minutes.

On the hour mark, Dingli paid the price for again failing to deal with a Doffo cross, as Christian Caruana darted to the near post and headed the ball past Farrugia.

And the clinical turnaround was complete on 67minutes when Doffo this time fed Ryan Darmanin as he applied a measured finish. Darmanin sealed the points for the Greens with another headed goal seven minutes from time.

In the second match today, Tarxien defeated Qormi 3-2 with the all important goal coming in the last minute.

Things were looking good for Qormi when Massimo Grima put them ahead after three minutes. However, Rainbows were not ready to lie down and Denni pulled them level on 62 minutes. Their joy was shortlived, though, as Qormi regained their lead two minutes later through Alfred Effiong.

But Andrew Decesare restored parity 20 minutes from time and when everything pointed for a draw Tarxien struck the winner through Denni to earn them three precious points.
