Greece striker Pantelis Kapetanos has singled out Lionel Messi for particular praise but insists they will not be overawed by Argentina when they meet in their final Group B match on Tuesday.

The Greeks have to better South Korea's result against the pointless Nigeria on Tuesday to progress.

And although that probably means they will have to defeat Diego Maradona's side, who have six points from their opening two games, Kapetanos is remaining upbeat.

"We all know Argentina and know how good they are," said the 27-year-old from Steaua Bucharest.

"They have 22 fantastic players and Messi, who is one step higher in quality - the best player in the world.

"All the Argentina players are exceptional, but it's also up to us.

"If we play well, we can make it. If we stay concentrated for the entire 90 minutes, I believe the match can be won.

"We just have to play the way we know."
