A scheme to incentivise vehicle owners to convert their car’s fuel system to autogas/LPG  will come into effect on Friday.

Subject to various conditions, a €200 grant will be given upon the conversion to autogas/LPG of a passenger vehicle with a seating capacity of up to eight passengers and the driver or a vehicle designed and constructed for the carriage of goods and having a maximum mass of up to 3.5 tonnes.

The scheme will remain in effect until December 31 or until the maximum of 250 claims is reached. Applications will be processed on a first come first served basis. People who converted their vehicle to autogas this year may apply.

Applications are available from Transport Malta’s Offices, Vehicle Licensing Unit, Hornsworks Ditch, Floriana or from here.
