The Gozo Ministry is hoping to attract Maltese to visit the sister island during the Easter period, by targeting localities that do not organise any events of their own.

Gozo Minister Anton Refalo said the ministry had sent out fliers to 12 localities across Malta that did not organise any festivities of their own.

A four-day Easter celebration will be held between March 19 and 22 that will include traditional re-enactments and exhibitions of religious ornaments and statues.

Gozo Channel fares will also be lowered. Other events will also include a performance by the newly set up national contemporary dance company Zfin Malta.
