Volunteers of the Emergency Response Rescue Corps assisted 26 people during the five days of the carnival in Nadur last week.

As usual, Saturday was the busiest day for the volunteers, who set up a clinic in Nadur Square near the police station.

Most casualties were treated for excessive consumption of alcohol. As a result of excessive drink some of them also suffered  injuries.

A two-year-old child who suffered a head injury was among those treated. Some of the casualties were transported to the Gozo General Hospital for further treatment.
