The Church in Gozo has installed three photovoltaic systems with an average power generation capacity of 33,072kWh annually, saving an approximate average of 28.441kg of CO2 from being emitted into the air.

The systems have been installed at the Lumen Christi Media Centre, the Poor Clare Sisters's convent and at the San Lawrenz Parish Centre.

"Apart from the tangible economic and environmental benefits of this investment, over the longer term this project will reinforce the organisation’s social mission and green credentials, paving the way for further investment for the benefit of the surrounding community," the Gozo diocese said.

This project was made possible through co-financing under the European Regional Development Fund.
