A ceramics festival in Xlendi, Gozo promises to offer visitors multiple exhibits, live music and even a hands-on area for kids to get their hands dirty in.

The fourth edition of the Gozo Ceramics Festival will feature 26 different exhibitors selling and showing off their wares, with an exhibition to be held in St Patrick's hotel.

Visitors will also be able to watch a fire lighting ceremony (fjakkolata) and pay a visit to Xlendi's newly-restored underground mill, which will be open to the public throughout the festival.

This year, the festival is being jointly organised by Munxar local council and the Gozo Ministry's culture office, with the help of St Patrick's hotel. Joan Haber is the festival's artistic director.

The Gozo Ceramics Festival will begin this coming Saturday, 6 August.
