The Gozo Business Chamber and the Gozo Tourism Association have deploted the fact that Gozo was cut off for most of last Sunday because of bad weather.

Amongst those stranded in Gozo, were people who wanted to catch flights and others who needed medical treatment. They had to make use of a small launch and faced great difficulties to disembark at Cirkewwa due to the rough seas, the associations said.

"While acknowledging that Gozo Channel could do nothing in such circumstances, we feel that such a situation, whereby Gozo was completely isolated, is not acceptable and highlights the need of improvement in the short and long term connectivity between both islands."
