Gozitan Manwel Grech’s design and build proposal for an artistic traditional Maltese crib for external display at St Peter’s Square during the 2016 Christmas period has been selected following a rigorous process, the Culture Ministry said.

It said in a statement that, as specified in the call, results were transmitted to the Holy See that confirmed the choice made by the evaluation committee. The local evaluation process was managed by the government in collaboration with the Curia.

The chosen work will now go through the necessary reviews to establish timeframes for the completion of the project and related technicalities.

A schedule of results, including ranked entries, may be consulted at the Culture Directorate, ‘Chateau de la Ville’, 21, Archbishop Street, Valletta and at the Heritage Malta Head Office, Marina Street, Kalkara.

It may also be accessed online here.
