The issue of €100,000,000 Malta Government Stocks subject to an over-allotment option of an additional sum of €70,000,000 has been announced by the Accountant General.

The issue is as follows:

(i)

3 per cent Malta Government Stock 2019 (III) Fungibility Issue, and

 

 

(ii)

4.5 per cent Malta Government Stock 2028 (II) Fungibility Issue, or

 

 

(iii)

any combination of the above two Stocks which shall in the aggregate be €100,000,000.

Applications open on May 20 at 8.30am and close on the time and dates as follows, or earlier at the discretion of the Accountant General:

  • at 5pm on May 22 for applications by any single and/or joint applications which in the aggregate do not exceed €100,000 per person, and
  • at noon on May 27 for applications in the form of sealed bids (auction).

The price of each stock at (i) and (ii) , offered for subscription by the public shall be established on Thursday.  Such price shall be announced to the Malta Stock Exchange and published in newspapers and through a Department of Information press release.

The allotment results of each stock to applicants whose applications are in the form of sealed bids (auction) will be determined and announced within two hours of closing time of applications by auction.

Application forms may be obtained from and lodged at, all members of the Malta Stock Exchange and other authorised investment service providers.  Application forms may be downloaded also from the Treasury’s website as from Friday.
