The Malta Employers Association has urged the government and the Opposition to serenely allow the application of rules and procedures to establish clear accountability in respect of substandard works at Mater Dei Hospital.

It said in a statement the government should pursue its inalienable, and evidently guaranteed right, to compensation for manifestly substandard work for which contractors got paid in full at agreed rates.
