Christians should exploit their accessibility to modern media, urged Mgr Charles Cordina who yesterday celebrated Mass for journalists on the feast of St Francis of Sales, their patron saint.

“We need to positively exploit the possibilities presented by today’s media to write in, call, send messages and create internet sites where we can share our experiences inspired by Christian values,” Mgr Cordina said.

Christian members of the media should shoulder the responsibility of broadcasting values inspired by Christ.

Professionals and the public who contribute their fair share to the spreading of the Gospel through the media should be praised, he said.
