Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi today inaugurated an education centre in Dwejra which seeks to inform visitors about the islands' sea life.

Visiting the EU-funded centre just before his mass meeting in Gozo, Dr Gonzi thanked all those involved in setting it up.

The interactive centre was the fruit of cooperation between the University of Malta and the San Lawrenz local council as part of a project entitled Panacea which will also see environmental centres built in Sicily. The head of the project was university lecturer Alan Deidun, a former PN MEP candidate.
