Golden Harvest has recalled its family white loaves because of a possible presence of small pieces of soft, food grade rubber, measuring about 5mm x 5mm x 7mm, that originated from an identified defective conveyor belt.

The batches that may be affected are A2, best before date: November 12; A1, best before date: November 11; and A5, best before date: November 8.

Those who bought a loaf from these batches should return it to the factory or shop for a replacement. All returned loaves will be tested in an independent laboratory.

The company apologised for any inconvenience caused and said it would continue to strive for excellence.
